CALLIE EH // For Callie Eh photography was a lifesaver. It picked her up at a difficult time in her life and has not let her go ever since. The photo series she shared with us is from her “Happiness Project” and shows a skilled, creative, and passionate tattoo artist, Michał Dudek, from Poland.
ALICIA HABER // Alicia is a Uruguayan art historian who has been a professor, researcher and curator. She started dedicating herself to photography three years ago, and it has become her main activity. Alicia has shared a new series of photo art in which she creates a bridge between contemporary Uruguayan art and her photography.
ANWAR SADAT // Anwar is a Kenyan photographer whose images of life in his home town Kibera, Nairobi reflect the vibrance as well as challenges in his environment. Anwar shared a set of photos of a special dance performance by a local ballet programme for children run by Project Elimu in Kibera, Nairobi.
JASON SHIPLEY // Jason is a passionate British documentary photographer from Kingston upon Hull. He documents the people he meets, often in long-term series. His photographs have been featured in magazines and at the British Museum. Jason shared some of his photos from the Leeds West Indian Carnival, the oldest such event in England.
CASPER DAM // Casper lives in Denmark´s second largest city, Aarhus. His photography started with his university job in communications some years ago. Now, he enjoys pursuing a colourful ’street’ aesthetic in almost any imagery and aspires mostly to a lifestyle influenced by everyday photography. In one of his long-term passion projects, he photographs dancers outside their usual environment: in the street and in public spaces. Although he shoots all genres of dance, for this feature we selected a set of his stunning jazz and tap dance photos.
