DAVID GILBERT WRIGHT // David has been in photography for nearly 50 years. He specialises in documentary photography and works on long-term projects, including the one he shared with us about the York Mystery Plays, which re-enact scenes from the Bible.
MARY CRNKOVIC PILAS // Mary is from Sydney, Australia, but has been living in Zagreb, Croatia for many years. She is passionate about black and white street and documentary photography, and with Spectaculum Magazine she shared a series about the “Bigheads” of Santiago de Compostela.
SHELBY ALEXANDER // Born in Adelaide, Australia, Shelby is a documentary and street photographer based in Bristol. Her project “One Night with Elvis” is a documentary of one of the quirky and entertaining Elvis festivals in the U.K., with impersonators doing their best impressions of their rock and roll idol.
RAJ LAXMI SINGH // Raj Laxmi is a photographer from India based in Delhi who greatly loves immersing herself emotionally and visually in the performing arts of her country. She has shared a set of magical captures from Indian classical dance performances.
ARTURO CAÑEDO // Arturo is from Lima, Perú, a graduate in economics who has also studied painting and drawing at the Art Museum of Lima and integrates his understanding of economics into his photography to show the aesthetics of the human condition. He shared with us his creative night photography of street performers in Lima.
JASON SHIPLEY // Jason is a passionate British documentary photographer from Kingston upon Hull. He documents the people he meets, often in long-term series. His photographs have been featured in magazines and at the British Museum. Jason shared some of his photos from the Leeds West Indian Carnival, the oldest such event in England.
